Game Recap

The Stewarts Creek JV team ended their season on Thursday night with a 4-1 victory over Shelbyville Central JV. The Lady Red Hawks finish with an 11-1-2 record for their 2017 season of play.

Kendall Smith opened the scoring in the 11th minute when she connected on a long, 30 yard shot over the keeper’s head following a pass to the center of the field from Kaydee Evans. Shelbyville tied it at 1-1 in the 22nd minute. In the 28th minute Taylor Groce put the Lady Red Hawks ahead for good when she placed a shot over the keeper from the left side.

In the 2nd half, Stewarts Creek scored in the 35th minute when Isis Carico found the net after being played up the left side by Hailey Morris. Carico dribbled towards goal and placed her shot near post just off the keeper’s gloves and into the back of the goal. In the game’s final minute, Courtney Steck scored off a long shot to the left side of goal.
